Half And Full Day Hires
Fixed fee jobs are typically for long distance. We do a significant amount of these distance jobs for companies and individuals who require a longer distance removals service.
These jobs often fall into the category of fixed fee work. Please see the fees below for these types of hire.
For journeys out of the town/region we also charge for the return journey at the hourly rate, plus a fuel surcharge.
Start Stop fee charge
We have a minimum hire time of two hours for single item jobs. The time only starts when we arrive at the job and finishes when the last item is unloaded.
We have a minimum charge of £375 for property removals for any job length up to 4 hours.
Packing Service
We also offer a packing service, these vary in price and are dependent on how much and what type of stuff needs packing. Please call for a free quote.
No Hidden Costs
Many man and van company's pricing systems are riddled with hidden costs such as weekend/evening work and other additional fees for offices or homes on higher floors. There are no hidden extras. Simple hourly costs for man and van work, fixed fee work for half or full day removal work. We only charge for our time.
Cancellations made less than 5 days before the move date are subject to a 2 hour minimum charge. This is because we will have turned down many bookings once you are booked in, and we will most probably be unable to fill the vacated slot at such short notice. We rarely take deposits, and so we work on a trust basis.
"Below are some examples, however you will only be charged for the agreed rate, unless you prefer to agree on a set price beforehand".
Set prices are mostly relevant to long distant removals.
Two men and a van - Half a day hire (4 hrs) - £375
Two men and a van - Full day hire (8 hrs) - £675
With two men hire for full house/flat/office moves, they work as a team and provide all of the carrying. Customers may assist if they want or are able to.
One man and a van - Half a day hire (4hrs) - £300
One man and van - Full day Hire (8 hrs) - £540
With one man hire for full house/flat/office moves, the one man will only drive the van and secure the items into the back of the van.

Our Men and Vans Work by the Hour
A Minimum Hire Time of 2 Hours (2 Men = £150) for single items or part-loads.
For flat & house/office removals we charge a flat minimum rate of £375 for any job length up to 4 hours. Any additional hours are charged at £75 per hour.
The job length includes, the loading and unloading times, the return journey time between the furthest addresses, any dismantling or reassembling times (if necessary), and any waiting time, if the access time is delayed for any reason.
